Beatty Nevada

Beatty, Nevada, is a small town with a population of just over 1,000 residents. It is located in southern Nye County, approximately 100 miles northwest of Las Vegas. Beatty is a major hub along US Highway 95, which runs between Reno and Las Vegas. It is also known as the "Gateway to Death Valley" because it is only eight miles from the national park.The town was founded in the early 1900s as a result of mining exploration in the area.It served as the railhead for three separate rail lines, including the Tonopah/Tidewater, Las Vegas/Tonopah, and Bullfrog Goldfield Railroad. Today, Beatty is a quiet town with a few restaurants, motels, and RV parks. It is a popular destination for tourists who are looking to explore Death Valley National Park.
